ICT JILLA - Silent Night (Lyrics)
It was a silent night.
It was a holy night.
It was a silent night, a holy night.
When Jesus Christ came and saved my life yeah.
It was a silent night yeah.
It was a holy yeah.
Silent night, a holy night.
When Jesus Christ came and saved my life yeah.
It was a silent night yeah.
It was a holy night yeah.
It was around 8 when I went outside, couldn’t take it no more.
So I rolled a joint, tried to get so high, but I couldn’t take off.
So used to the lows, I could use some highs, if I knew where to go.
I would hit the road for a thousand miles and find a brand new home.
I was sick of all the failure, didn’t know how to get better.
I knew God had all these plans for me but I wished they came sooner.
Mama told me stay in prayer, but somehow I lost my radar.
I was running through the night and then I ran into the Father.
It was a silent night, a holy night.
When Jesus Christ came and saved my life yeah.
It was a silent night yeah.
It was a holy night yeah.
Silent night, a holy night.
When Jesus Christ came and saved my life yeah.
It was a silent night yeah.
It was a holy night yeah.
And in the midst of the chaos, I almost snapped like Thanos.
So I went on a late walk, felt like SA to Lagos.
All ‘a sudden I started running cause I thought I heard something like:
“There’s eternal life for you and it won’t cost nothing. Just surrender to the LORD all the pain that you’ve been holding.”
So I went down on my knees and then the tears started rolling.
Now it’s midnight and it feels like:
Every single little thing will be alright.
Album in Progress
I’m currently working on my first album. The name isn’t final yet but I am thinking of calling it “Have You Tried Following Jesus?”. The whole theme at the moment is centered around the challenges and successes we face when following Jesus.
I also want the album to make you and me look in the mirror and ask ourselves if we are truly living as true believers. I’ve recorded 3 songs so far and I’d like the album to have about 10-14 songs in total.
Making God-centered music requires a lot of mindspace and resources. I’d appreciate your help in making this album happen.
